Jason Lang
Associate Director
Jason Lang, Ph.D. is Associate Director of the Connecticut Center for Effective Practice at CHDI and holds an appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Lang’s interests are in the implementation of evidence-based and best practices, quality improvement, and the assessment and treatment of child traumatic stress. He is part of the Child FIRST Leadership Team, where he is adapting the Learning Collaborative methodology to implement Child FIRST, a promising in-home model for high-risk young children and their families, in six Connecticut communities. Dr. Lang is a Training Consultant for the Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services Performance Improvement Center and coordinates the Connecticut TF-CBT Learning Collaborative, a multi-year initiative to implement and sustain TF-CBT in 16 community mental health agencies. Dr. Lang is also a licensed clinical psychologist who conducts trauma-focused assessment and treatment at the UCONN Child Trauma Clinic. Prior to joining CHDI in 2007, Dr. Lang completed his pre- and post-doctoral fellowships specializing in child traumatic stress at the Yale Child Study Center. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA in 2005.
