Integrating early childhood data into the Department of Education student tracking database
Connecticut’s Department of Education (SDE) recently launched the Student Identifier Database, a new child tracking system that captures data on students kindergarten through 12th grade and serves as a rich child-level dataset for planning and research purposes. DataCONNections is currently assessing the feasibility of including data on young children in the tracking database and developing a long-range plan for enhancing the early childhood components of the SDE database.
