In pursuing its mission to ensure the healthy growth and development of children, CHDI frequently publishes reports to share research and best practices with health and mental health practitioners, policy makers, parents, and others interested in the well-being of Connecticut's children. Each of these reports is available in PDF format for easy download. Check back often as we will update this section regularly.

CHDI has developed two searchable, web-based databases to help users easily locate informative reports and internet resources on Mental Health, Juvenile Justice and Community/Consumer Empowerment, and Statistics on Young Children in Connecticut.

Keeping Children on the Path to School Success: How is Connecticut Doing?, a report by the Early Childhood DataCONNections project at CHDI, examines how Connecticut's young children (under age 6) are progressing toward school success. The report provides both state and local data on key factors of child well-being including health, safety and welfare, family economic stability and early care and education. As a companion piece to this report, DataCONNections developed individual online profiles for each of Connecticut's 169 cities and towns on these critical data measures.

The following links are to websites of organizations concerned with the healthy development of children. They encompass mental, behavioral and physical health issues, as well as policy-relevant statistical data and professional development opportunities. Some sites are specific to Connecticut, but many are national in scope, thus placing the work of CHDI in a much larger context.
