CT Mirror: School-age children are seeking out mental health care more than ever

A Connecticut Mirror article, "School-age children are seeking out mental health care more than ever," features ways the Connecticut State Department of Education, CT Department of Children and Families, and CHDI are working to increase the capacity of schools to support social emotional learning and school mental health through initiative such as Project AWARE. Project AWARE screens students for social-emotional learning needs, links students to a range of supports, and creates family-school-community partnerships.

In the article, CHDI's Dr. Jeff Vanderploeg and Dr. Jean Bracey urge Connecticut to expand Project AWARE to more schools.
