Senior Project Coordinator II

Yecenia Casiano, MS, joined CHDI in 2013 and is a Senior Project Coordinator II. She works on CHDI’s Performance Improvement Center (PICs) for Connecticut’s Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (MCIS), Children’s Behavioral Health Urgent Crisis Centers (UCCs), and Functional Family Therapy-Foster Care (FFT-FC), as well as the School-Based Diversion Initiative (SBDI) and the School-Based Diversion Initiative–Early Intervention (SBDI-E). In her role, Yecenia supports quality improvement initiatives, program management, and implementation across multiple statewide systems.

Yecenia serves on several statewide committees focused on juvenile justice and is a member of the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform at Georgetown University’s Fellows Network, as well as the Transforming Youth Justice Leadership Development program at the Tow Youth Justice Institute. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy. Yecenia brings extensive expertise in child welfare systems, including foster care, adoption services, and juvenile justice. She has provided consultation to other states and regularly presents at the local and national levels.
