The place to find relevant, evidence-based training in children’s behavioral health

The Kids Mental Health Training portal is an online, asynchronous learning portal that provides convenient, evidence-based training on a variety of children’s behavioral health topics for clinicians, educators, pediatric providers, and other youth-serving professionals. Courses are currently available at no cost to child-serving professionals nationwide.

Developed in response to the behavioral health needs of children and their families - and learning needs identified by professionals like you - the Kids Mental Health Training portal will support and strengthen the children's behavioral health workforce in Connecticut and beyond.

About the courses

CHDI’s unique approach to training integrates family voice, community context, and research on evidence-based practices. Courses are developed in response to workforce needs and in collaboration with families and youth with lived experience navigating the children’s behavioral health system.

All courses are online and self-paced, and most offer continuing education units/credits (CEUs) upon completion (details in course descriptions). Unless otherwise noted, courses are open to child-serving professionals nationwide.

We plan to develop 4-6 new courses annually to fill gaps identified in currently available workforce training, becoming a one-stop shop for learning about children’s behavioral health.
