Kids Mental Health Training Portal
Convenient, trustworthy, evidence-based training for clinicians, educators, and other youth-serving professionals on a range of children's behavioral health topics.

The place to find relevant, evidence-based training in children’s behavioral health
The Kids Mental Health Training portal is an online, asynchronous learning portal that provides convenient, evidence-based training on a variety of children’s behavioral health topics for clinicians, educators, pediatric providers, and other youth-serving professionals. Courses are currently available at no cost to child-serving professionals nationwide.
Developed in response to the behavioral health needs of children and their families - and learning needs identified by professionals like you - the Kids Mental Health Training portal supports and strengthens the children's behavioral health workforce in Connecticut and beyond.
About the courses
CHDI’s unique approach to training integrates family voice, community context, and research on evidence-based practices. Courses are developed in response to workforce needs and in collaboration with families and youth with lived experience navigating the children’s behavioral health system.
All courses are online and self-paced, and many offer continuing education credits (CECs/CEUs) upon completion (see details in course listings).
Over time, we will continue to develop new courses to fill identified gaps in currently available workforce training, becoming a one-stop shop for learning about children’s behavioral health.
