Jeana Bracey, PhD

Associate Vice President of School and Community Initiatives

Jeana Bracey is Associate Vice President of School and Community Initiatives at CHDI and serves on the senior leadership team. In this role, she directs multiple grant- and contracted-funded initiatives within the school mental health area, with particular emphasis on school-based mental health and community-based system of care development and integration.

Currently, she directs several statewide initiatives, including the School-Based Diversion Initiative (SBDI), the Connecting Children and Families to Care (CONNECT) Initiative, and other Comprehensive School Mental Health programs. Jeana has experience in school mental health, juvenile justice diversion, family and community engagement, and health equity, and serves on several state-level committees to advance policy and practice across the children’s behavioral health system of care. While she officially joined the CHDI staff in July 2011, Jeana has worked with CHDI since 2008 through her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at The Consultation Center at Yale University. She earned her PhD in Clinical/Community Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
