Mackenzie Wink joined CHDI as a Postdoctoral Fellow in July 2022 working on our school mental health initiatives. She was hired as a Project Coordinator in 2023. Mackenzie earned her M.A. in 2019 and completed her Ph.D. in 2022 in Human Development and Family Sciences, with a specialization in child and adolescent development, from the University of Connecticut.
She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Her doctoral research focused on classroom teachers’ well-being, social-emotional competencies, and their use of punitive and non-punitive types of behavior management approaches with their students. Her primary research interests include social emotional learning interventions, school mental health, school-based program implementation, and promoting social and emotional well-being and positive behavioral outcomes for students.
