Annie Winneg, MPH
Senior Project Coordinator II
Annie Winneg is a Senior Project Coordinator II at CHDI, working on professional development and training projects as well as quality improvement initiatives. She currently leads two early childhood initiatives: the Trauma Sensitive Practices in Early Childhood (TSPEC) project to develop trainings for early childhood professionals, and a landscape analysis to map the full scope of early childhood mental health services and supports in Connecticut. As part of Project BRIDGE, Annie supports the development and implementation of online trainings on trauma screening best practices and the dissemination of a very brief intervention for children and youth experiencing traumatic stress. She also assists in developing and implementing the online courses offered through the Kids Mental Health Training Portal and live supplemental trainings for the State of Connecticut's Functional Family Therapy - Foster Care (FFT-FC) program.
Prior to joining CHDI, Annie worked with Families First to build teaching and evaluation tools for the organization’s parenting and advocacy programming. She also worked at The Motherhood Center of New York, providing supportive services to new and expecting mothers experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She holds a Master of Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health, specializing in Maternal and Child Health Promotion.
