Chris Marino, M.S., LPC joined CHDI in 2025 as Director of CHDI’s Functional Family Therapy – Foster Care Performance Improvement Center (FFT-FC PIC). For over the past 13 years, Chris has been committed to serving children, adolescents, and families as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in community mental health, school, and private practice settings. He served in multiple leadership roles at CMHA for the past nine years, including as Service Development Director, Assistant Vice President, and Clinical Director.
Chris graduated from CCSU with a Master’s in Professional Counseling and Rehabilitation, and has been trained in multiple trauma-focused evidence-based treatments, including TF-CBT, MATCH-ADTC, CFTSI, CBITS, Bounce Back, and CPP. Chris also has a passion for sharing his experience and knowledge of topics such as trauma-informed services, attachment-based theories, clinical interviewing, psychopathology, and social emotional learning, and has provided numerous trainings to agencies, schools, and other community organizations over the years.
