Peer-Reviewed
PEER-REVIEWED PUBLICATION

Co-authored by Jason Lang, PhD, and Rochelle Hanson, PhD, of the Medical University of South Carolina, this special section looks back on a decade of trauma-informed care (TIC). Covering new research and providing an overview of the current state of TIC, including four papers that contribute to the evidence base for TIC across a range of child-serving settings.

The authors conclude that the growth in TIC practices continues to outpace TIC research, and significant questions remain about the benefits of TIC on youth and families, including effective and efficient large-scale implementation and specific application in certain settings.
