The Adolescent SBIRT course will provide the learner with skills to perform A-SBIRT screenings. A-SBIRT (Adolescent Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) is a comprehensive, integrated, public health approach to the delivery of early intervention and treatment services for adolescents with substance use disorders, as well as those who are at risk of developing these disorders.

About the Instructor

Christine Hauser, LCSW, LADC, is a licensed clinical social worker, licensed alcohol and drug counselor, and A-SBIRT trainer with over 15 years of experience working with youth needing treatment for mental health and substance use needs. She is a Senior Associate at the Child Health and Development Institute (CHDI). This training was developed with the support of Dr. Manu Singh-Looney, a clinical psychologist, evaluator, and researcher with a special focus on SBIRT.
